Celebrate 100: A Guide to Central Oklahoma Architecture
2007 was a big year as AIA celebrated its 150th anniversary in April, and Oklahoma celebrated its Centennial in November. In celebration of the Centennial, and in the spirit of the AIA150 project, Blueprint for America, the Oklahoma City Foundation for Architecture, along with AIA Central Oklahoma, produced this publication to celebrate Central Oklahoma's Architecture over the past 100 years. This book focuses on Central Oklahoma and demonstrates the architectural history and architectural diversity of Central Oklahoma. The book is available for purchase through the AIA Central Oklahoma office, Full Circle Bookstore in Oklahoma City. Books are also available by calling 948-7174 or emailing to mel@aiacoc.org.
KIDesign 2010
KIDesign was hosted by the Oklahoma City Foundation for Architecture and AIA Central Oklahoma. KIDesign is an exciting opportunity for children to learn hands-on about the adventures of architecture, to investigate a challenge, dream up a design. Local architects from our community taught first through seventh grade children how to recognize various aspects of architecture all around them every day, while having fun at the same time. This event will take place again in April 2010. For more information see the REGISTRATION FORM or email to llong@studioarc.com.
