Entry Requirements & Eligibility

  1. Entrant must be an Oklahoma resident.
  2. Entries must have been exposed and owned by the entrant.
  3. The subject matter must have an architectural theme or must contain some element of the manmade environment and be located within the state of Oklahoma.
  4. Submitted files may not exceed 20 MB in size and must be entered in a .JPG or .TIFF format. All photographs must be sized in a standard size (8×12, 8×10, 5×7).
  5. Entry form and payment must be postmarked no later than February 27, 2017. Mail to: OCFA, P.O. Box 2312. Oklahoma City, OK 73101.
  6. Final photography submissions are due no later than March 17, 2017.
  7. Entry fees are by category and are represented on the included entry form.
  8. All entry fees are non-refundable.
  9. Entrant grants permission to the Oklahoma City Foundation for Architecture (and its partner AIA Central Oklahoma) to reproduce images for exhibitions, publications, and for promotional purposes. These reproductions will become the property of the Oklahoma City Foundation for Architecture and AIA Central Oklahoma. The photographer will maintain rights to his or her original work.
  10. The decisions of the judges are final on all matters relating to the competition.
  11. Submission of image(s) implies the entrants acceptance of all of the above conditions.

Competition Information

How to Submit

Each image is a separate entry and requires a payment. Entry form and payment must be postmarked no later than February 27, 2017. Once the entry form has been collected, a link to the competition FTP site will be provided along with a registration number and additional forms and instructions for submittal. This information will be provided no later than March 3, 2017. Refer to Entry Requirements & Eligibility for more information. Mail entries to Oklahoma City Foundation for Architecture, P.O. How entries will be judged

Photographic interpretation of the subject matter is what will be judged, not the architecture. Photographs will be judged on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact and artistic merit. Use of any photographic filters and effects will be judged with the same criteria.

1st Place – $200 Cash Award

2nd Place – $100 Cash Award

3rd Place – $50 Cash Award

Judges

Judges will include an architect, a professional photographer, and a representative from the arts community.

All entries will be on display during an exhibit on Thursday evening, April 20, 2017 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. where the winners will be announced. Photographers and one guest attend this reception free of charge. All others $10.00.
